Over the past two decades, there have been an increase in efforts to close the data gap in tribal nations. Many tribes are now conducting their own surveys and censuses for local planning and governance. This report summarizes the results of a survey that sought to review individual tribal data practices across Indian Country and assess current tribal data capacity and future needs.
